Starting planning phase of my home. This will be my first and last home. Would like it to be build as such. Planning on icf walls. Have not decided which brand. Looking at sips roof. Just wondering what the average price difference is between steel and wood sips. Will not have vaulted ceiling but would like useable space such as storage or bonus room up top. Options are also spray foam under stick roof. Home will be in Oklahoma.

Interesting build, mine is also ICF walls with a Steel SIP roof. The reason for choosing steel SIPs is numerous but as far as pricing goes, it all depends where you are located at, since shipping plays a part in the cost. I would contact Chris Kavala here on this forum and he can get you some pricing on steel SIPs.

I am going for a vaulted ceiling so steel SIPs work very well in such an application. Even though you are not designing with a vaulted ceiling, they can still be used but one needs to have a ridge beam to support & attach the SIP on the top end.
