I wonder how International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) applies to SIP wall. IECC has insulation requirement for wood framing wall and mass wall. In climate zone 5, it is 20 or 13+5 for wood framing and 13/17 for mass wall. Should I refer to the requirement for mass wall? Thanks!

A SIP wall or SIP roof fall under the same guidelines as a standard insulated wood framed wall or ceiling. SIPs are NOT a "mass wall". ICF (concrete cores) are a mass wall.
