outdoor deck ledger attachment to meet new code, I want to use a 2x10 ledger to add an outdoor deck on a 6 1/2" panel.

any info how to accomplish this?

I was thinking about just adding a similar 2x10 on the interior but it won't look all that nice.

you can get 20 different opinions of how to attach the ledger and none of them may be correct!
the smart thing to do is to consult your specific supplier for advice on how to attach to their specific product
I was trying to point out the obvious

Have you considered not using a ledger at all? Use posts close to the house and let the deck be independent from the house. There are several ways to reduce the gap between the house and the deck and it solves some potential water problems. I did one like this last summer because I am on a slab and only 8-10" from grade. It took a little head scratching but it is very solid and I have no gap between the house and deck.

Chris is right. Depending on elevations, grades, panel width, joint details (2x, double 2x, something else??); it may be as easy as doing a direct attachment with lag bolts. It could also be a crap shoot of whether the attachment will hold, whether proper flashing is possible so as not to degrade the OSB, etc. etc.. The devil is in the details.

Why don't you post a little more info so that some very experienced folks on this site can respond informatively. VB's suggestion is also viable. In essence, a little cantilever close to the house so the SIP panels are not a consideration for carrying any load.

I would abandon the interior 2x idea.
