The new Nissan Dealership. in Port Au Prince, Haiti was designed with SIPs , 3 stories high in some areas with walls as tall as 38 feet . SIP's chosen for hurricane wind and seismic load strength

That's a pretty big change from the traditional high-mass construction of the region, but makes sense given how badly some of the traditional Haitian construction holds up in earthquakes.

Dana1, it is a big change we are slowly making an impact there with panels, thus far we have supplied buildings for OAVCT (Haiti Govt. Insurance ) , UN Operations, University of Haiti Class rooms, Nun's Residence, private homes and several small orphanage homes.
part of the problem with block construction is they are often made in someones backyard with very little cement content , unwashed aggregate, probably less than 1,000 psi comprehensive strength , if you drop one they explode into dust

It looks very good when the finishing is done. How long did it take to finish job?

14,000 sq. ft. of 6" panels took about 3 weeks, longest panel lengths are 38 feet tall, everything in Haiti is difficult and slow going due to lack of equipment and unskilled labor.
The project is still ongoing the photos were recent,
we are shipping this week a small addition for the backside of the building called a cold room that will house the HVAC air-handling equipment

Looking forward to more photos, SIPs do save building cost.
