Have you thought about getting away from all the problems with well depth and recovery rate and  looked at a DX system.  Less worries and concerns and definitely less to break. DX requries a very small footprint. Being on 10 acres with 2 wells in place, I had the choice of putting in any system, and I went with Earthlinked.  Great decision

Will be happy to provide additional info here or you can email me privately at [email protected]

I have not looked in to a DX system,, Real estate is not my issue as much as soil type. I am sitting on shale to a bepth of over 60 ft in most places... I can drill another well as needed... My question / concern is .. can I operate an open loop system where I have a well that is at a potential depth of 500 ft? What is the minimum recover rate needed? I have a 3K sq/ft home. proposed Water to Air system.

Will I need to go to a closed loop system due to the well depth and/or recovery rate? If I go closed loop then I loose some efficiency,, This is a solar home so I am trying to balance the systems for optimum perfromance...
