We were supposed to get two SD units. Fortunately, a mistake was made in our favor and one of the units was HD. The SD display looks kind of washed out even after adjusting display settings. The HD display is fantastic. Wish I ordered two of them originally. Maybe your contractor will credit you something on the Carrier thermostat? Let me know if you have any Prestige questions as I am very familiar with its operation and settings. The dehumidification functionality can be a little testy (my only complaint).
Homeowner with WF Envision NDV038 (packaged) & NDZ026 (split), one 3000' 4 pipe closed horizontal ground loop, Prestige thermostats, desuperheaters, 85 gal. Marathon.

I see that Carrier/Bryant thermostat listing for $300 US on eBay so I'll do that if I have to. It's a volume builder so we can change things but you sometimes lose out doing so. I thought about the SD because it's a bit cheaper but after reading your post I'll pay the extra dough for the nice display. Father-in-law is a weather nut and will live next door, so I gotta 1 up him on something.

No one need apologize for adding to this thread there is nothing new about it. I had a hissy fit about aux heat last year.
Regarding thermostat options, we have used the Honeywell IAQ stats to control humidity, air filtration, make up air and to lock out aux. heat.

What do you find are the best settings for the IAQ.

rook, sorry i've been bombed with a cold snap....
I have heard different recommendations they vary from 1st stage least cyces to most cycles.
I have been using a 4-3-2- set-up (with 2 being aux.) and have not had complaints, but am open to suggestions/comments.
