I can see the above ground structure being strong, stable and energy efficient. But then what about the floor? And the floor to wall connection?

I think the most cost affective, value, includes a perimeter frost wall. At least where the ground freezes.



I'm thinking this was responding to my post.  I always forget that not everyone builds like we do here, so I'll clarify.  Up here in WI, houses are rarely to never built on slabs - we all have basements.  In my mind, i was thinking a "normal" basement & subfloor, with the "pole builiding" structure on top of that.

I'm not sure how things like hanging drywall would work, though...

To be allowed, the requirement for a continuous frost wall under all outside walls would have to be overlooked.
doesn't say frost protection , not frost wall?
