I understand. I will not build something unsafe or not engineered. Done this for 30 plus years and I also over engineer. My house is an example. Steel trusses engineered for 8" double purlin trusses on 10 ft centers. Mine are 10" doubled on 5 Ft centers. Metal decking screwed 100% with 3" insulation and metal shingle roof. Attic stays temperature of outside. Walls are Concrete blocks filled every 4 ft and a bond beam at 4 ft with the top two courses solid filled. Steel trusses welded to embeds on top of wall. 4600 sq ft house cost $86,000.
