So far I am 18 months into living in a new house. The only non fluorescent lights in the house are the oven and range fan lights and one led night light. I went with a combination of gu 24 and-4 pin based cfl’s+ linear tube lights and, and a couple of t5 circilines. Last week I had my first 2 failures. One was the front door exterior light, a gu 24 26 watt light, the second was the a ceiling fan light combo( Aurora) by Modern fan. Unfortunately the ballast is integral to the fan so can’t be replaced. The good news is that Modern Fan immediately shipped me a replacement free of charge( Yea good customer service). I was a bit hesitant about the quality of fluorescent light initially but have been very pleased. I have a hard time justifying the cost of led lighting vs efficiency. The one down side all of this is that I now have much less bulb interchangeability then with the screw based lights. In the house currently I have gu24 13, and 26 w fixtures, 4 pin clusters each in 13, and 18 watt flavors, and 3 sizes of fluorescent tube lights, a t5 circleine, plus one 65 watt fluorescent external flood. Also there is no easy place to buy most of them other then online. All in all they work well
