I tried out the laser in bright sunlight today. It has several modes besides 360 rotation. You can do a sweep over several different angles. This improves visibility since it concentrates the light in a smaller area. You can also do a single spot that can be rotated with the remote as needed. The single spot is visible in bright sunlight. The 10 degree sweep is a little harder to see but is easily seen in the shade. The glasses make the beam easier to see.

Excellent. Thank you Opus. Looking for Armistice Day (Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, whatever the hell the kids call it these days) sales.

Oh man, I am glad you mentioned that. I thought you have the Acculine. Don't really trust that brand.

One of my questions about the CST is whether it can do partial sweeps; apparently it can.

There is no LM800-G, but the ALHV has a green model. I think having both horiz and vertical function should be very useful with ICF.

Maybe Sears will put these on sale tomorrow. Can't cost more than $1k, otherwise, the red. BTW, I was astounded to find that the AL series has a 10mW laser! It is illegal to use more than 5mW for this purpose. (Class 2m) But it turns out that the diode puts out 10mW, and by the time it goes through all the optics it's more like 3mW. Not sure the output of the green laser.

Seems like no one is really sure how to use a laser to build with ICF, as we have no input on that.
