There is significant problems with the prescriptive method and therefore the IRC. Not the least of which is that the flat wall thickness is 5.5, 7.5 and 9.5" thickness. And the 2500psi concrete. Do I have even state "who uses that?"
It is as if it was written by government bureaucrats.
