Still no answer to the simple question I had for Modgreen. What quantifiable benefit will this very expensive program have on global temperatures?

I suspect the reason for no answer is that there is truth to the report that the total impact after 100 years will be to "reduce the increase in temperatures" by a fraction of 1 degree. That is a smaller number than the normal variation in temperatures due to non-human causes.

If that is the case then the cap and trade proposal is indefensible. It is certainly not a good argument that "it is a start". For if it has virtually no quantifiable impact over the next 100 years at it's very certain high cost then what exactly is started except the draining of wallets and how costly would the next steps be that will actually have a measureable benefit?

If man's impact on global temperatures is what is claimed and if the benefit of halting the increase in temperatures out weighs the cost (two different things that should both be debated) then one must be honest about what comes after "the start".

And will society accept the tyranny necessary to implement these draconian measures that could actually have a real measureable impact? Greenhouse gasses cannot be reduced to the necessary degree without governments forceably reducing populations, eliminating entire industries, destroying the economies which generate the governments own funding and drastically reducing the per capita energy consumption by requiring group living facilities for all, elimination of individual modes of transportation and putting severe limits on water usage, food consumption and luxuries such as water heaters, air conditioning and heating. In short the government will have to control every aspect of our lives assuming that we are the ones chosen to remain alive.

Over a Barrel - the truth about Oil will air on ABC's 20/20. This should be quite interesting to all - especially the "Drill Baby Drill" fans :)

It would be interesting if ABC was a credible source.  It is undeniable that the alphabet channels are lap dog mouth pieces for the Liberal Left and the Eco-Nazis.  They ARE the Liberal left.

The simple fact is there are NO sources of energy that are palatable to the self destructive insanity of the Eco-left.

Did you know there is a whole anti hydrogen car program all ginned up and waiting to be sprung on America should that technology become cost effective?  You see, the escaping hydrogen gas will rise up and destroy the ozone layer or some such.  There is no end to it and nothing will satisfy unless we agree to die.

It is all cycles.Even if you didn't want to go back eons just go to your local hardware store and pick up a Farmers Almanac and you will see paterns which can be identified as MOTHER NATURE being herself. And to all the tree huggers out there " If you will not thin the forests as needed then SHE will."
It's called FIRE.
