Sleepers is English for Railroad ties...

Railroad ties are sleepers, but smaller sleepers are also used for other construction practices

I consult my Roofing Contractor CT about the integrity of SIPs in long term and they said that it is about the installation. If you have installed your SIPs properly, there will be no problem in the future.

please experts impart your advice!!
we have just finished our icf walls which we love so far but the crux is the roof. we are going with sips panels. we live in se alaska and do know about the issues that occurred in juneau. we have an open ceiling hip roof that will go up as such- large rough cut spruce with doug fir car decking, then ice and water shield then sips panels then furring strips and finally metal roofing. does this sound ok?? there is just so much info on the web and it is hard to decipher when you are not in the building profession so any knowlege would be most appreciated.
