Hey there I have a serious problem in the Decorah ,Iowa area...I am alergic to my 1979 skiline buddy, 16 years of apartment living, cleaning chemicals, tooth past.etc.  The main problem for me is that I am so allergic too many building materials that my doctor has said that I have to build from the ground up on a slab maybe with a tiny tornado shelter..here is the problem folks  I am on disability with reactive airway disease, asthma and a variety of other health issues which would be a lot different with the right housing..also because my boday is so irritated by my housing arrangements that I can not work as many places..so I cant afford the house ,so I can not find a job..I am always sickish..I do not know what being totally well is...this vicious cycle continues...I am single but have to have my own home..all the local and governmental agencies tell me to get better work to buy one..thanks a lot...habitat is going to try to help but I am a single with a dog ...not a child...so unless I get a family soon then I keep forever in the cycle getting sicker and sicker..not knowing if someday I will not wake up...signed a 38 year old Iowan with very little help and no where else to go..can you image  20 years of being sick? I live it every day...and cry out for help..any ideas?

Dear I am allergic to my home:

Go to the library and get the book entitled "A Prescription to a healthy home".  It is written by an Architect (female-can't remember name). A Medical Doctor (female, can't remember name) and a House Inspector (male-can't remember name.)

Should not be too hard to find.  Three authors, one male and two females.
The Arch is the primary author and she adds alot of what to do.

Good luck and may continue to bless you,
