Has anyone used metal ( shake/ slate type) shingles for a re-roofing project? I have been looking into Metalworks by Tamko, Arrowline by Edco, Kasselwood by Kassel & Irons, and Permashake ll by Atas. Atas also has a standing seam shingle that looks interesting. I woud like to hear about any experiences people have had with this type of roofing in a residential application.

Classic Products , Piqua Ohio used their shingles on some projects about thirty years ago and I have to say they still look good.
