Actually your numbers don't mean squat. Scan and post the build sheets of the windows and the reason Intus is less will be clear.

Greentree, What would your recommendation be? Lots to choose from and a huge price range.

Can you please be specific in what exactly in the quality of the windows is lacking?

From what I read, they have higher ratings on their leakage and pressure testing than most other windows. They can build a 5x7 window WITHOUT a mullion, while other manufacturers cannot build such a window without a mullion. The reason being is that Intus windows utilizes thicker glass and beefier frames.

May be good glass and good seals, it's still in a upvc frame. Frame materials make a difference in cost.

Window prices will have a wide range depending on who you are and where you're at. My cost is not the same as yours, and it's negotiable. Without build sheets, we don't know how good your quotes are, and if a vendor happens to be pushing a particular product.

I have been buying Marvin alot lately, and based on what I've been paying your quite high and for a uPVC window Intus is high. BUT they may have decent glass and design. Also take into account field service, you have a decent chance there may be an issue when your windows come off the truck, you want a company that will respond and act to correct the issue immediately.

There are way more variables than price for you to be bashing other brands, makes no sense.
