I've got about an 11' wall over a crawlspace that I somehow need to cut an electrical chase through. It needs to run vertically through the hole panel and come out through the double top plate in the little triange area where the roof pannels connect to the wall panels. I thought of buying a couple of 3' drill bit extensions and just keep adding them together as needed until I pop out the top. Or I suppose I could cut a hole halfway up the panel and try drilling with a flexible drill bit 5' down and 5' up. Any other thoughts?

A perfect opportunity to practice the technique of "Hot Balling".
Properly performed, it will yield a perfect 1-1.5" chase the entire distance.
This assumes you have EPS cores.
Contact me directly if you need further instruction.

Is "Hot Balling" what it sounds like? Heating up a steel ball until it is hot enough to vaporize the EPS and then dropping it from the top of the panel so that gravity and heat cut the chase? Sounds like a pretty cool (or hot) technique if it is.

"Hot Balling?" that sound like something I did back in my college days! Yeah let me know how it's done and I'll give it a shot.

So I heat up a ball bearing until it's red-hot, then drop it onto the foam and let gravity do the rest? How do I get through the bottom plate?
