I don't know, but SCIPS make sense to me. Put the foam on the inside, the thermal mass on the outsides and in some cases, avoid the need for any other inside or outside covering (wallboard, siding, etc). Or add coloring, gravel, texture, etc. You might ask these guys about warranty: http://www.litedeck.com/tilt_info.html IMO, they should make the beams so that they protrude to the interior or exterior instead of reducing the insulation thickness. Ie, 6" of foam that narrows to 2" every few feet seems like an unnecessary thermal bridge. Post tensioning to save concrete and steel seems like a green idea. |
