I have a nonprofit that works in housing in rural GA. A local owner is
donating some low-income apartments to us in January. I plan to demo
and build new, only 32-36 units. I want to go Green and reach high with
it. I am seeking an architect with ideas, designs and insights. Also,
if anyone has info on Green building materials and processes that work,
I am all ears. Additionally, we will have to set up temp housing for
the residents, so if anyone has info on used trailers please forward.

Hi Joe,

How is it going with your project? Check LINK website. I think it might be useful to include it in your network of green builders. The company builds environmentally friendly domes from reconstituted and recycled wood. Dome sections and modular panels are pre-manufactured and assembled on site, so there is no waste of materials. Their spherical or elliptical shape provides 30% of energy cost savings due to a lesser air volume to heat/cool. Structure’s lifespan is expected to be more than twice than that of conventional wood structures, minimizing operational and maintenance costs over the life time of the building.
