Is there a forum (section, etc) for drafting, blueprints, information, etc. I am not a designer (not concerned with the paint color), but I do some design (space planning) out of necessity. Usually the client already has a good idea of what they want by the time they get to me. I do spend a lot of time with engineers (California requirement) for the structure sheets, etc. I currently draw for 4 independent engineers (or rather they sign off) who I've worked with over the last 7 years.

I get the feeling this forum is for common ground between industry, consultants, & the general population looking for info. I don't see anything for arch/eng/drafting. I am a freelance (home based) drafter and looking to expand the horizons.

Drafter,

I am interested in this area also.  It would really be nice to have a place to turn to for info and sharing of techniques and methods especially relating to SIPS, ICFs.  I think it should also be open to questions about how to use graphics software to accomplish a task.

Maybe we could call it Designing and Drafting.  What do you think?

I'm not sure exactly what type of drafting forum you are seeking?

Why not check the forums that every major CAD software program company has? Such as Autocad, Softplan, Chief Architect, etc...

I would be interested, too. Seems like a good idea to bring to the attention of the moderators. There's a "suggestions" forum, down toward the bottom of the forum list.

If you're not building with OSB SIPS(or ICF's), why are you building?
