 Have heard that its way too expensive to operate electric then it is gas how true is that ?\

Hey Dano, depends on the rates in your area. For us with on peak / off peak or “time of use” rates it falls back and forth as to which is cheaper. Of course using geo thermal, typically about three times more efficient then resistant electrical tends to be the cheapest way to heat hands down.

That's right, it depends on where you are.  I'm always amazed at people saying electic is expensive.  Not where I live.  Plus, a power line crosses my propery.  The gas line is 40 miles away.
