I am looking for published reports, including ICC certifications regarding the fire ratings of SIP made from cement boards such as Hardie panel or Versaroc panels. Please email me at mphelps@apec-llc with any information regarding SIP fire ratings in published reports or ICC certifications. I am also looking for multi story buildings made from SIP's. I am working on a four story condo project and our owner would like to consider building the seven four story buildings from SIP's, he has expressed particular interest in cement board SIP's that do not required sheet rock on the interior or cladding on the exterior. Any help, information or photos would be most appreciated.
Thank you,
Matt |

Hi Matt!
Funny to find you on here! I hope you are well. Per our previous discussions, you already know about our structural cement board called Armoroc (www.armoroc.com - recently listed in the GreenSpec Directory & on BuildingGreen.com). Armoroc is a cement-bonded particleboard and is virtually identical to the product you've referenced above. We also offer a noncombustible magnesium board called MagRite (www.ameriformllc.com).
We have spoken in the past about your applications, and if you need any additional samples/literature please let me know. To all the other readers out there with similar interests - I hope this serves as a resource for you - our website has tons of info on these products.
Best Regards,
Mike Kavanagh Ameriform LLC |

Matt;
We have e mailed to you a power point presentation for Steel SIPs , slide 14 shows steel SIPs used on a 7 story building built by Bovis Lend Lease, one of the worlds largest project management firms, who did their own independent testing before using the panels. Bovis' main objective was to replace the exterior walls with faster, lighter, more energy efficient sytem than masonry walls. Not only did the Steel SIP system greatly improve speed on construction, it also allowed for lighter footing loads Slide 24 & 26 pertains to fire testing
We would be happy to send the same PPT presentation to anyone by request info@southernsips.com
