I recently remodeled the second story of my cape and used both EPS and Polyiso... over the studs/joists before the drywall went up.
I now wish to add some insulation to the exterior of a small addition. The addition was built several yrs ago and has fiberglass/ 4mil poly vapor barrier inside. checking the info on
buildingscience.com
I am now concerned that the vapor barrier could cause problems if I do add a layer rigid foamboard to the exterior. Any thoughts? Fine Homebuilding has an article on this but I need more confirmation.
Also anyone have any troubles with building inspectors requiring the use of house wrap even though foamboard sheds water?
Dont run thru the forest with your face on fire
