I would like to have a metal roof on the home I am designing and think this is a great option in area with high winds and hail.  I wonder how those that have used it have though of it?  Pros and cons?  Thank you in advance and have a good day.

I shouldn't say a whole lot about it; I have just heard it doesn't hold up well in the long run. The warrantee’s tend to be in the 10 year range where mono or poly crystalline is in the 25 year range. I also believe thin film is more affected by temperature and the output drops off much quicker as it gets hot.
