I was just doing some comparison shopping between ICF and 2x6 construction. Most web sites say there is a 3-5% premium for using ICF, whereas a few go as high as 10% (%'s based on total cost of home). The price that I've gotten from an ICF installer in central Indiana looks to be around 20% and seems a bit pricey to me.
Do other people have "real world" experience with cost comparisons (i.e., not just what brochures say)?
Thanks,
Scott
