I"m a diy on radiant. Did my own design & instalation on my home. Mail floor staple up under hardwood. Basement, 1" 2# denisty foam(for thermal break) 5/8" X 8" sleepers with 1/2" pex running between and 3/4" T&G ply glued & screwed to sleepers.
Basement:
1 zone, 4 loops @ 300' w/1 taco 007 zone pump
Main level:
1 zone, 5 loops @ 300' w/1 taco 007 zone pump.

at 30 below last week, the main floor system would not keep up, does anyone know if I should upsize my pump or split main floor into 2 zones add a 2nd pump for increased volume?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions

there are many issues to consider before any changes to your zoning are made. a few things to look at are:
-boiler size, was it keeping up with demand?
-what was your water temp on the supply and return side of your main floor zone?
-how well is your home insulated?
