For anyone who has a radiant floor heating system contained in a concrete floor, have you experienced any knee or joint pain or early fatigue?
We are considering using speedfloor (concrete floors) in our house with radiant heat, but I am concerned that the floors will be too hard and be problematic for knees and joints. We will have other floor coverings (wood, carpet, and tile) over the concrete, except in the basement, where we will have acid stained. I have been told that the fatigue and pain is more due to cold floors than the hardness, and that having the floors heated prevents the problem. However, I have not seen anything that would confirm or refute that statement.
Any real life experiences are greatly appreciated.
