In a supper insolated home without Air Conditioning how do you handle heat recovery and ventilation?

In my jurisdiction all new houses must have ventilation. Normally done with an Energy recovery ventilator to reduce heat loss. In summer you run it to bring in cooler air from outside although some heat is picked up. I do not have air conditioning but the recent split systems can put cooling into the rooms that count. The compressor noise is outside & a fan unit in the rooms
