does it matter what type of concrete i use? it has come to my attention that some types may be more abbrasive than others on my pex.

John,

1. I've never heard of anyone suggesting that concrete would be abrasive to the Pex. The main concern would be "crimping" the Pex during the pour.

2. If you are suggesting the the formulation or recipe of a particular concrete may have chemicals or components that could deteriate or breakdown your tubing, then I would consult my Pex Distributor. Ask you concrete supplier for a copy of his mix design for 3000-3500 lb concrete and submit it to the Pex Rep.

Thank you...i was concerned because i have learned that the pex will expand and contract...and with sharp stones or aggregate in the concrete...well....you get my drift....but if this has not been addressed then it must not be a concern...ill contact the manufacturer...thank you
