> Subject: stakes through foam for leveling

my cement guys hammered stakes through my foam insulation for leveling a string line prior to pouring cement...is this common? is there anything i should worry about...hate to have those stakes in there....worried i will have vapor barrier and insulation loss....thoughts?

The stake thing is very common and should give you no problems.

It is a small thing, but if the stake is left in the soil it will draw termites. The foam and vapor barrier has been compromised. Concrete will wick water through the holes. This of course assumes that the stakes are wood. If they are plastic and hammered down during the finishing process and skimmed over they should not become a problem.
