Thinking of use two tankless water heaters in a new house I'm building (nat gas, probably a rinai). One for the domestic hot water and one for the radiant heat. What advantage would I have with a boiler? Am I missing something?
Thanks

Tankless are designed with high heat input into cold water . I question how it would last with warm/hot water returning from radiant floor. I suspect it would cycle on & off frquently. Did you try search on this site for other opinions on tankless -- Most I remember are negative

The larger your load, the more it makes sense to use a better heat source.

If your load is small enough, using a water heater is ok, but you'd be better off with a tank water heater than with a tankless for radiant. It'll run a lot smoother and be easier to set up. If it's dedicated and installed in the conditioned space of the home, you don't really have "standby losses" anyway and you can turn it off in the summer.
