My wife & I were building our own house - and doing just about all the labor ourselves.
Anyway, we were looking for a recipe for a lightweight concrete mix that works well w/ RFH. Most of the lightweight mixes I've found touted their INSULATING value - even mixes containing pumice.
I would think pumice would be good for RFH since it is often used in grills to retain & radiate heat.

Why worry about lightweight . If it is a grade floor use regular concrete & get the benefit of a heat sink. Check out Legalett
http://www.legalett.ca/Index.htm A lot of the installation work can be done by yourself but you have a professional system with drawings for building inspector

It's not an on grade project, otherwise I would go w/ regular concrete. This would be a first & second floor project.
My floor system is 2x12 hem fir 16" OC w/ 3/4" ply subfloor. The span is just under 14'.
I'd be fine w/ regular concrete on the first floor, but the second floor concerns me because I have a couple of large rough openings (one patio door & one large window) each w/ triple 2x10 headers. I'd feel more comfortable using something closer to 120pcf than 150 pcf.

We use aerated cellular gigacrete. It can be stamped, textured, troweled---otherwise, left as the finish floor---thus making it cheaper than some that need covered with carpet or what have you. It takes stain well.
At 75% debsity it weighs 90 lbs per cu. ft.
