Looking for thoughts on how best to humidify my house now that I have installed radiant heat and no longer have heating vents for humidification. Here is the situation.

Avg. Temp - 68~69 Deg f. (inside)
RH% 30~32%

House style- Bi Level (upper 2300sf, lower 1100sf)
AC - In attic with duct board plenums and flex ducting to ceiling registers

I would like to go with a whole house humidifier (or at least the upstairs) but do not want a free standing model that I have to add water on a daily basis. I could attach a drum or steam model on to the attic blower return plenum and run the blower however the H20 supply may freeze in colder weather.

Also looking for some information on how this aspect is controlled.

Does humidity travel? (Less Dry to more Dry)?
How does the homes “tightness” play into the equation?
