We would like to use something other than forced air heat in our next house. Radiant infloor heat would be our primary choice, but with lots of carpet and the high cost of radiant infloor heating, we are forced to look at alternatives, namely radiators.
Are radiators, like the Myson Select, actually radiant in terms of heat. How do they perform when compared to forced air? Or hot water baseboard heat? How do they hold up to kids? Can you run them at lower temps to prevent burns?
Thank for your help!

You can size radiators to run at cooler temperatures, and a nice side bonus is "TRVs", or thermostatic radiator valves, are a fairly inexpensive way to zone every room by themselves off of a constantly circulating header circuit; throw on an outdoor sensor/reset control to manage that header temperature based on how cold it is outside, and you can have a pretty nice system. But, radiators are larger when sized for lower temps, and heat is "unnoticeable".. that is, you can't stand next to the radiator and go "oooh, ahh, warm radiator". You're comfortable, but you don't know why.
You do have to take them into account when planning furniture though.
Personally, if construction details allow for it, I vastly prefer radiant ceiling to radiators. Cheap (often cheaper than low temp radiators), fast to install, invisible, low temp.. nothing not to like there if floor is not a great option.

Where can I find out more on "radiant ceiling" heat. I have read a lot about radiant floor heat, but I see almost nothing about radiant ceilings... how they work, how they are sized, how to install them, etc....
Thanks!

Modern Hydronic Heating by John Seigenthaler has some info on them, and a whole ton of info on everything else hydronic as well. A very wise purchase to anyone who wants to be as fully informed as possible.
