Hydronic Heat is not an efficient alternative when it comes to radiant heat with todays energy costs, plus it builds up the sublfloor unless installed retrofit. Here is an alternative for little buildup, no maintenance and a 25 year warranty with low voltage electric radiant heating.

Hardly.

If electric is so cheap, then use an electric boiler. Then, if electricity gets too expensive AGAIN like it did after the last energy crunch, you can always switch fuels. Plus, I'd like to see you run an electric radiant system on solar.

Electric resistance heating is very inefficient from a generation, delivery and usage standpoint. Locking into it is a bad idea for full size installs. For one room retrofits or whatever, sure, it's a *great* match for that bathroom remodel job. But a whole house? No way. I don't care where you live. Bad, bad idea.

Heck, if you want to use "cheap electricity", go geothermal and get the 3, 4 or 5-to-1 heat per watt capability it can give you.

Ridiculous claim heatizon. utterly ridiculous.

NRT You saw who he works for? -- Major conflict of interest!!!
Iwould personally go with fuel oil & Hi effy burner with built in hot water for the long haul or geo if you need summer cooling too. 25 year warranty ?- unless you are unlucky enough to staple a carpet or tile or screw a room divider strip into the wires etc.
