ICF home (Reward iForm) is under construction. Considering either brick veneer or Nova Brick. If brick veneer, do I still need water barrier ("tar" paper) over the form? On the other hand, is Nova Brick compatible with ICF without either the water barrier or additional furring? My ICF dealer advises me to hire an engineer. I'm very interested in hearing from someone with experience.

I just completed my exterior. I also looked at the nova brick. With nova brick, you do not need a water barrier. I would check with reward about whether or not they recommend furring. Novabrik weighs about 30 pounds per square foot, which is quite heavy. If you attach every 4th course like novabrick recommends, each screw will carry about 30 pounds. With the furring strips, the load is more uniform.
I liked the novabrik, but I was concerned about the weight being carried by the plastic tabs. I actually ended up going with a product called rock siding. It only weighs about 9 pounds per square foot, and is much easier to install than novabrik. I could e-mail you pictures if you'd like.
