We are planing on building in the Greenville, SC area.  The codes say it is a seismic zone C.  Does this affect the design very much or is it just minor engineering adjustments.  It will be 1 story between 3000/4000 sq ft.  The ceiling deck will be along the lines of speedfloor or similar type deck.

Given the building practice of many ICF contractors, YES, it may affect the design a great deal. Ask for an engineers (not architects) advice.
