#1. Is there a difference between installing 4- 200 foot deep vertical loops and 8- 100 foot deep vertical loops, leaving installation cost out of the equation?

#2. I live in CT. the temperature 30' down should be aprox. 52 degrees with very little variation year round. At a depth of 4' down that temp can swing + or - 10 to 15 degrees with the seasons. If I am correct in those statements should all the runs connecting the loops be insulated?

Thanks, Paul

#1, the difference is so small as not to be considered in the decision making process.

#2, there might be some benefit to insulating the header pipes, but I have never seen it done and I have seen hundreds of systems.

Good luck
