Why so far from the well?
Proper install procedures for a geothermal vertical loop call for the hole to filled from bottom to top with a bentonite grout. This seals the hole and keeps surface water from seeping down the hole and possibly contaminating the ground water.
If the loop was installed too close to a water well, some of the grout could migrate to the water well. Given the right circumstances, the grout could seriously compromise the flow of the well.
