Greetings - scheduled my first checkup of our WF ND049 4 ton dual stage unit I had installed 12 months ago with the desuperheater option.  We are on a closed vertical loop (four) - each going down about 200'.

No issues so far but I did ask about the pressure drop in the loop.  The tech said normal expansion/contraction will cause the loop pressure to fluctuate.  He injected a small bit of water into the loop which brought the PSI back up to about 40.  It had dropped to around 5 PSI.

He read 27º F coming out of the loop and 22º F going back in so I'm obviously causing our earthworms some discomfort this winter.

Our home is a 3100 sq ft 4 level in the Minneapolis/St Paul suburbs built in 1981.  We still have the original windows - some are starting to lose their thermopane seal.  Thermostat is kept around 69-70º F during the heating season.  For cooling, we normally run around 78º F.

Total energy savings are running around 10% in the winter (but the house is much warmer) and about 40% in the summer.

Happy so far with the decision to invest in the system.

Windows can be a large energy loss, I would consider replacing at least some of them for more energy savings.
