ERIC - BEST POST I've seen in a while in response to adk. I was interested to help but when I read "Goodman" that told me the whole story. Everyone wants to be installing geothermal given the incentives and growing interest. Folks who haven't "done their time" need to be avoided at all costs. Anyone who wants to be "in the business" needs to first work for a geo company and spend boucoup bucks getting the training from reputable sources.

AS GEO comes of age it is improving IMO... service, engineering, competence... I am glad to have Total Green close by and am very willing to work with Paul and see what TG has to offer customers my way.

At the same time building envelopes are improving.

And Asian air to air systems are coming on very strong. Air to air systems also have the benefit of being made for low BTU output.

Low BTU needs is a good direction for all of us to head toward to lower our individual and group CO2 output.

Burning wood is carbon neutral and is a great way to be able to size a system smaller... saving install cost even more.

So... I see for some.. not all...

GEO...
and for some condensing NG boiler with ECM fan handler and coil...
and for some Goodman installs,
and for some newer low temp air to air low cost systems with superinsulation and wood back up...
and for others quite a few other choices.

For much more info for those that do not know of my favorite site for all things Green in residential construction go here:
