I've been through about 4 humidifiers trying to find the right one. I've used a GeneralAire 1042LH and it didnt even budge my humidity. I used an AprilAire 700A and still no go. I've used a honeywell steam humidifier 10Gallon and still to small. Now I finally got something semi working. A GeneralAire DS25. It's able to put the humidity to what I want without any problems. Issue I'm having is the unit is wetting my ducts. The GeneralAire DS25 says minimal CFM is 1000 for it to work. The climatemaster is rated at 825CFM it seems at high output? Im about to pull my hair trying to get something working. Anyone ever mess with the GeneralAire Steam humidifiers?

Your title suggests you are frustrated with your Climatemaster when it is apparently your humidity. I don't know what your choices are to up the airflow from your CM, but if you don't provide required airflow, humi failure is sure to occur.
If ou hired this installed, let the installer sort out how to make it work.
Why is your need so great?

In order to determine the size of a humidifier one must know the outside air temp ,indoor air temp, relative humidity, infiltration and exhaust rates. Then humidifier is selected by use of a psychrometric chart and grains of moisture needed. You may need a stand alone steam humidifier rather than an inline unit. The problem using a heat pump with a humidifier is that the air rise is small compared to a gas fired furnace. The amount of grains that can be added will soon saturate the airstream do to the low heat rise.

Rob

I know nothing about humidifiers, but 825 cfm is the rating for a 2 ton TTV026 in 1st stage at the highest tap setting. If you've got a 6 ton unit, it is rated for a lot more than 825CFM...more like 1600 CFM in 1st stage and 2100 CFM in 2nd stage at the highest tap setting. (1400/1850 at the lowest tap setting).

Which I guess, brings up the question of what tap setting is your fan set at?
