hi.
tranquility 27  tsv038agc01acks
scroll zps30k4e

been in service for both  heating and cooling seasons,

consistent compressor lockout, status code 4
unit starts, runs, for 2 to 3 minutes max.    then contactor opens
well water flow continues, blower maintains speed.

well water (two well aka pump/dump)
ewt 59 deg f     very consistent (measured at the unit)
lwt 49.5 deg f     begins about 50, settles slowly to 49.5
                           rises back to 59
                           after compressor is locked out.
flow ~ 7 gallons per minute.   flow restriction caused by undersized solenoid valve

suction side about 135 psi

air flow/temperatures seem normal. duct work nice and hot, while compressor on.

thermistor resistance,  fp1 17k ohms  (fp2 about 9 k ohms)
but time delay in reading, shutting off power etc. prior to probing.
long off times, quiet readings about 11.9 k ohms

have ohmmed  thermistor with connector still on  and  popped off the board. no change
thermistors appear to be 10k curve

both fp1 and fp2 appear to have be "serviced".  small gaps in insulation near
the thermistors, foam wrap  stops near the attachment,
but does not continue covering thermistor
thermal paste traces visible after peeling back sticky wrap.

unit has been locking out without being noticed for an unknown length of time
very quiet when all panels are in place,  blower and water flow noise masked
compressor lockout.  electric aux heat  maintains thermostat request.

anyone had similar problems?

great forum

thanks in advance

Not sure how old yours is, but I have the same unit as you and it sounds like you might have the same bad sensors.  The insulation around the sensors on mine was real crude and looked like it had been taken off and then someone tried to put it back on.

Anyway, I was having trouble with FP2 and did a google search or something.  From what I read Climatemaster seemed to have trouble with some of their thermistors sensors that trigger the FP1 and FP2 faults.  The unit came with older style sensors with the thermistor in a resin or something.  Although my unit was built in 2007, this all finally happened about 2009.  I got the new sensors (nicer bullet style with the thermistor in a stainless steel casing) I installed them both for FP1 and FP2 and haven't had trouble since.

You could probably use any 10k bullet style sensor, but I didn't want to have to mess with any different style connectors or whatever.

If you don't have the bullet type sensors now, it might be worth trying to replace them..
