Early on we suggested that a proper diagnosis be offered.
Sizing your system should be done just like any other change out. Man. J first.
15 years ago installers often used much more geo than necessary.
There are thieves in every biz. Careful shopping should keep you out of trouble.
Break down of costs based on whole sale costs is folly if one does not know what all goes into it. In our case a pound of freon is priced with the time it takes to put it into the system in a flat rate "charge up" (up to 3 lbs). Some charge you by the fractional hour and charge less per pound.

R22 dry systems are often filled with one of the alternative replacement refrigerents and will be servicable for some time.

Ok so I bit the bullet this morning I went with the geocomfort it was $600 more than the econar. Since nobody will come right out and say what the best unit is I made my descion based on econar has been bought and sold to many times good bad or otherwise I'll guess time will tell

Wise choice, else where on this forum, they are saying that Econar might be discontinued.

Econair is owned by a firm that is more stable and has bigger bank than previously (research products). I stand by best dealer and whatever they sell.
