Hello, I'm about to buy a home with a water furnace and basement concrete radiant floors and geothermal. Its an estate sale where homeowner died and it seems no one knows anything about the system. All i see is its a water furnace e series and has a sticker with info from 2008-2015 and the house was built sometime around 06-08. Should I have an special inspection done on the system or just normal home inspector handle it? Also is there anything to look out for or to make sure to check Any way to see where the geothermal is underground or type? Its a 2.5ac lot with mostly wooded and we're wanting a pool, and definitely don't want design it and findout the lines are all over where we want. Also it has a geoflow subsurface drip system box outside which i'm assuming is something completely separate. looks like could be tied to septic to irrigate the lawn, but not sure.

If you're not sure, you definitely want an inspection to map these systems out.

As you said, the very LAST thing you want to do is put a shovel in the ground and hit one of them.
