Building in rather arid (less than 8" yr avg) climate, off the grid power, heat w/wood stove w/propane back-up.  Summer doesn't get too hot at that elevation, so heating is primary fuel use.  Primary use will be in summer months, but once accessibility improves this will be used in winter for skiing/snowmobiling site.  Walk-out ICF basement (liteform) is complete, and my goal as DIY GC/builder is to get dry-in done this year.  I have considered SIPS, but cannot swallow the added upfront costs on a tight budget.  Several neighbors contend that the area is dry enough to not neccesitate venting my raftered ceiling...not quite sure on the vapor issues?  I am leaning towards a couple inches of closed-cell foam followed by dense packed cellulose.  Procedurally, what is the best way to pack a cathedral ceiling with cellulose?  The ceiling will by covered by T&G 1X6...

I have read quite a bit and still remain confused on which approach i will take.  Thanks in advance for your advice.

Kyle
