staining concrete floors

any opinions on acid vs water based staining of concrete floors? and if staining is recommend or not....

The water based stain acts more like a dye that is absorbed into the floor. Water based concrete stains also give create an opaque appearance, while the acid based stains produce a rich and deep appearance.
