Hello all, i am looking for a brand of screws to insulate a new roof deck, 12/12 pitch. Begged fastenermaster, but only got a u.k. test for 4". Need to find screw tested for say, 8" to13". Would like to do the Dr.Joe thing ala Building Science Corporation thing, just like his barn. So much data for wall installation, did all these scientist forget about the roof? I know foam over deck is done right here in my state, home of BSC., but we have what is known as a building inspector. Any specifications from any manufacturer? What would I say to the ahj when they ask for fastener specs? A h, call building science Corporation? Thanks for listening.

Try GRK. They also make long screws.

O.k. I see the long screws, thank you. They are " engineered" for sips, and other wood to wood connections. I am hoping to find an esr eval report for a screw used on a roof tested for a screw through plywood, 2x4, 11" of foam screwed into 2x roof deck. Or if not an actual eval report then something similiar to The mountain of data for wall/foam cladding with buckets chained to furring etc. But no test on a roof with snow loads, the longest closest calcs I've seen is a bsc doc for 8" eps wall cladding. Building Science Corporation, so many pretty pictures of foam on top of roof decks, to bad so little beef. I so want to use the system I have been following for years, proposed by BSC, but really cant swing the cost of the screws AND an engineer. Can wall cladding test be used for steep sloped roofs ,? Any and all replies appreciated, its getting chilly need to get roof on. Thanks
