I've done a lot of research on home insulation in preparation for building a new home in Cleveland, OH. The link below is the plan that I drew up. It is based on research from Building Science.

Please review and leave feedback for this design. I would greatly appreciate it.

Overall first glance looks good IMHO but additional structural detail on roof construction would be helpful. Any plans for recessed ceiling lighting?

Might suggest ICF for basement walls vs. recreating them with XPS/CMU/ccSPF might be cheaper and definitely stronger and less prone to water intrusion.

SIP roof might be a option to consider as well.

ICFs are made with EPS, blown with pentane which has a global warming potential (GWP) of only 7x CO2. (Polyisocyanurate is also blown with pentane.)

ocSPF is blown with water, at very low GWP.

XPS is blown with HFC134a, with a GWP of about 1400x CO2

ccSPF is blown with HFC245fa with a GWP of about 1000x C02.

Getting the majority of the R-value with either XPS or ccSPF is not doing the world any favors, and the opposite of "green", though in more modest amounts there is sometimes a rationale for managing vapor retardency.

I'd start with EPS + cellulose as a reference and then determine how alternatives compare to that in price/performance/GWP.

I've seen enough basement leaks that I'd think about what happens to water that gets inside a CMU wall (backing up inside and seeping into the interior isn't a good answer). Sure, other methods are supposed to prevent this from happening, but belt and suspenders....

You've got xps on one side and closed cell on the other side of a cement wall, where does the moisture drive lead to?
Full venting on a large soffit wont match your net free air of the ridge vent ending up unbalanced.
I put the tyvek over the sheathing under the xps.
Im in the full ccsp is a complete waste of money camp, your epdm gaskets are pretty redundant unless your using them as plate gaskets.
