Last week we finalized the house plans, got everything in place as the shovel will be hitting the dirt in june. Now with the way things are going, I told the builder I was bringing my carpenter uncle up to texas to build my house due to cost. We've got 5 guys that will be framing and my uncle who will be bossing them around. Anyhow, the builder said I wasn't going to be able to afford the bonds? Anyone know exactly what he's referring to? Google doesn't say much but this guy said in the 100's of thousands in bond cost. This is an established neighborhood. There were 5 lots open. The HOA gave me the green light also. They said mostly bonds are for entire new communities.
